In general, I am not afraid to express my views on religion, but there are always some situations where I feel I will be judged or looked down upon if I was open about my beliefs. I know there’s a lot of people out there who live with this fear every day.

I’ll Just Leave This Here of the Day: On the Australian television program The Gruen Transfer there is a regular segment called “The Pitch” in which two advertising companies are tasked with “sell[ing] the unsellable.”

Among past pitches: “[I]nvading New Zealand, compulsory euthanasia for the elderly, cosmetic surgery for children and introducing a parent licence.”

For the show’s most recent episode, the ad agencies were asked to create a marketing campaign for the banning of all religion.

It was the first time in the show’s history that ad agencies declined to participate.
